General Ordering Formats
All works of art created by David Franklyn are signed, come with an appraisal, and are shipped with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. Items are not numbered, for each is an original work of art never to be duplicated. You will own the only one.
Some pieces, like leaves or caricatures, may be suspended in a wooden shadowbox for ease of display. If you wish to order a piece suspended in a shadowbox, indicate this as provided on the order form.
All pieces will be shipped insured for the value paid, return receipt, and carefully packed to prevent breakage. The shipping charges will be the actual cost of shipping without addition fees such as handling, packaging, or processing charges.
Knowing that David Franklyn takes as much as 50 hours to design and finish one of his pieces, time must be allowed to created a custom work of art for you. Depending on David's work load, this could take from weeks to months. An estimated date of completion will be given at the time custom orders are placed.
All custom orders require a 50% payment at the time of order. The final payment must be made upon completion and before shipping. Orders paid in full at the time of ordering will receive a 10% discount.
Methods of payment are currently cash or check. Sales tax will be applied if required.
I. To Order One of Dave's Franklyn's existing creations:
Any of David Franklyn's creations listed on this web site can be ordered for the price indicated. If an item has been sold but remains on the web site as a sample of Dave's work, it will be marked "sample."
II. To send David Franklyn a request to commission a work of art:
You may request David to create one of his art pieces to match a particular color scheme in your home, to offer the same hues depicted in a photograph of a special-moment sunset, or to mimic a favorite design style such as paisley, floral, spice, deco, etc. Such a request can be applied to any object such as glassware, vases, autumn leaves, etc.
III. To send David Franklyn an object to be painted:
You may have a favorite figurine, an old vase loosing it's appeal, an unusually shaped rock gathered from a honeymoon beach, or a special memento that you would like David Franklyn to turn into an exquisite and unique piece of art. This service is performed with individual pricing established before your order is placed. There will not be an initial charge for consultation with David Franklyn establishing your desired color scheme and design.
